I love what I do, and I do it because it makes my heart sing for so many reasons. It’s nice when you receive recognition for something you’ve done though. In December 2022 I was honoured to receive an award for ‘Best Online Group Coordinator’ for 4Networking.
I honestly didn’t think I’d win as there were so many strong nominees in this category. I was delighted and honoured to be recognised.
You may be reading this and wondering what is 4Networking (4N) or even what is an online Group Coordinator (GC). 4N is a great way to network with a wide range of businesses online and face-to-face. There is a large variety of meetings you can attend and for more information check out their website.
I’m online GC for the 4N Speed sessions. These are a great way to make lots of new connections and collaborations. It’s fast and lots of fun. As GC I contact attendees before the meeting and send them the Zoom link etc. but most importantly during the meeting, I’m responsible for manually organising the breakout rooms. This is a fun challenge as during the 90-minute session there are 10 121’s to organise. So, I need to organise who’s having a 121 with who before the meeting and then during the meeting manually move each attendee to a breakout room so they can have their 121’s. In between 121’s I have just over a minute to organise the next ones.
The real fun comes when there are last minute cancellations or internet issues and I have to reorganise who has a 121 with whom at the same time as trying to make sure each attendee sees someone different. You’ve got to be organised and calm under pressure.
I love the fast pace and the challenge. I work with a fantastic 4N Speed team and even though I only joined 4N in 2022 it’s been a positive experience.
To receive an award as ‘Best Online Group Coordinator’ was a lovely surprise. As those who attend various 4N sessions voted for me, it gave me recognition that the experience I’m providing as GC is positive and I’m doing it extremely well.
